Chess at Three is New York City’s premier chess club for kids, and we proudly launched in Singapore in August 2023.
Our mission is simple yet powerful — to teach children aged 3 to 12 the timeless game of chess through fun stories, interactive games, and imaginative play. By turning complex chess concepts into engaging adventures, we help children learn, grow, and fall in love with chess in no time!
We are looking for a passionate, energetic, and organized individual to join our growing team at Chess at Three Singapore.
This role is perfect for someone who loves working with families and children, thrives in a dynamic environment, and takes pride in creating seamless experiences for customers and tutors alike.
Coordinate staffing for school programmes, parties, holiday camps, and ad-hoc events
Strategically assign tutors based on quality, reliability, availability, and operational efficiency
Maintain strong tutor relationships and proactively monitor tutor availability and training status
Work closely with Training and HR teams to ensure a healthy tutor pipeline
Issue operational instructions, teaching resources, and assignment details to tutors
Handle tutor queries, feedback, and operational issues promptly
Coordinate with Logistics and other internal teams to ensure smooth programme execution
Manage school programme deployment, including student enrolment, scheduling, and operational support
Liaise with Finance to ensure timely and accurate billing
Escalate collection-related matters to the Partnerships Manager when necessary
Train and supervise virtual assistants supporting billing and operational administration
Ensure operational continuity for Sunday to Thursday programmes and Sunday/Monday club operations
Proactively identify and resolve staffing gaps in upcoming schedules
Arrange replacement coverage for urgent operational situations
Build and maintain a reliable reserve pool of tutors for last-minute deployment
Prepare and verify tutor payroll for schools, parties, events, and Sunday/Monday club operations
Ensure payroll accuracy and timely processing
Oversee holiday camp execution and Day 1 operational adjustments
Coordinate student allocation, staffing changes, and immediate issue resolution during camp periods
Maintain oversight of operational kits and materials required for schools, parties, camps, and events
Support logistics operations during peak periods or urgent situations
Serve as Duty Manager for Sunday club operations and customer service
Monitor programme quality and resolve operational or customer issues promptly
Ensure timely follow-up for same-day trial classes
Manage relationships with key influencers and VIP customers
Proactively encourage and source Google reviews from customers
Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions under pressure
Experience in operations, scheduling, customer service, or education/enrichment environments is preferred
Comfortable working weekends, on Sundays
